Heirloom Recipes of the Cordillera documents the heirloom recipes from Benguet, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Kalinga and Apayao. This book is a project to keep the wisdom of Cordillera ancestors alive through food. This is a collection of 100 recipes around the Cordillera which were collected through food workshops and interviews among knowledge holders.
These heirloom recipes are products of the creativity and innovation of generations of women and men who, working with simple ingredients and simple cooking implements, are able to produce delicious and healthy meals for their families, communities, visitors, and the unseen spirits who accompany the people in their daily lives.
